A last minute change of venue to the Benvenuto Restaurant in Boynton Beach added to the excitement of our 2011 Holiday Luncheon, coordinated by Chairman Carol Brown.

Guests were treated to a delectable mimosa upon entering the beautifully decorated lobby.  The scrumptious menu included an organic mixed green salad and grilled sirloin filet or salmon in dill sauce. Desserts were a choice between the mouth-watering apple tart with cinnamon ice cream or the luscious warm Chocolate Lava cake.

Carol Brown,1st V.P., and Program chairman  presented a program on "The Language of Flowers" about the history of floriography and the hidden meanings of flowers dating back to the Victorian era.

Flowers discussed in the program were given out as door prizes to the lucky winners.

The centerpieces were old-fashioned, galvanized sprinkling cans filled with an arrangement of ivy plants, ilex and brilliant red and gold ribbons.  The party favors were miniature watering cans.
